我的中国之旅

From the 3rd to the 13th of February, I had the privilege of participating in a China tour organized by the China Railway Seventh Group Headquarters for local employees from different African countries. I was honored to represent Namibia on this remarkable journey, and I sincerely appreciate the company for selecting me to be part of such an important experience.

2月3日至13日，我有幸参与中铁七局海外公司为非洲各国员工组织的中国考察之旅。能代表纳米比亚参加这次意义非凡的考察，我深感荣幸。衷心感谢公司选择我参与如此重要的国际交流活动。

During the tour, I gained valuable insight into China’s rapid development, advanced technology, and strong commitment to infrastructure innovation. One of the highlights of the trip was the Pearl River Night Cruise in Guangzhou, which allowed me to experience the beauty of the city at night. We also visited GAC Science & Technology in Guangdong, where I witnessed modern technological advancements that contribute to China’s industrial growth.

此次考察让我深入了解了中国快速发展的现状、尖端科技实力以及对基础设施创新的坚定信念。行程中最令人难忘的当属广州的珠江夜游，让我得以领略城市夜景的迷人风光。我们还参观了广东广汽科技园区，亲眼见证了推动中国工业发展的现代科技成果。

A memorable professional experience was visiting a tunnel high-speed railway construction site managed by China Railway Seventh Group. I observed the use of a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM), which demonstrated advanced engineering techniques used for underground construction. This visit greatly enhanced my understanding of modern construction safety and engineering practices.

参观过程中一次难忘的专业经历是参观中铁七局管理的隧道高铁施工现场。我亲眼目睹了隧道掘进机（TBM）的运作，这种设备展现了地下工程的尖端技术。这次参观让我对现代建筑安全和工程实践有了更深入的认识。

In Shenzhen, we explored Shenzhen Bay Park and OCT Harbour Inner Nanshan, where I saw innovative drone technologies of different sizes. At Shenzhen Civic Center, I enjoyed participating in a traditional Chinese cultural dance with local elderly citizens, which gave me a deeper appreciation of Chinese culture and community life.

在深圳，我们探访了深圳湾公园和南山区OCT港内，我见识了各式各样的创新无人机技术。在深圳市民中心，我与当地老人共舞中国传统舞蹈，这段经历让我对中国文化与社区生活有了更深的体会。

My happiest moment during the tour was on 8 February, when I received the Outstanding Employee Award at the China Railway Seventh Group Headquarters in Zhengzhou. I felt honored and overwhelmed to meet the company’s leaders and receive recognition for my work.

此次巡访中，最令我欣喜的时刻当属2月8日——在位于郑州的中铁七局总部，我荣获了杰出员工奖。能与公司领导共聚一堂，获得工作成果的认可，我深感荣幸与激动。

We also visited the famous Shaolin Temple, where I learned about the true history of Kung Fu and its cultural significance. At China Railway Tai He Li , I admired how historic buildings were preserved and renovated while maintaining their original appearance. Experiencing traditional Chinese wedding customs was particularly fascinating, and I even participated in a cultural demonstration as a bride meeting her husband for the first time.

我们还参观了著名的少林寺，深入了解了功夫的真谛及其文化价值。在中铁泰和里，我惊叹于古建筑在修缮过程中如何完美保留原貌。体验传统中国婚礼习俗尤为精彩，我甚至亲身体验了新娘与新郎初次见面的文化仪式。

Another important visit was to the China Railway Engineering Equipment Group workshop, where Tunnel Boring Machines are manufactured. This experience broadened my professional knowledge in safety, health, and environmental practices within large-scale engineering projects.

另一项重要访问是参观中国装备工程车间，该车间生产隧道掘进机。此次经历拓展了我在大型工程项目中安全、健康及环保实践方面的专业知识。

Beyond the technical learning, I built meaningful friendships with colleagues from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Botswana, Zambia, and Ethiopia, strengthening international cooperation and cultural exchange.

除了技术学习，我还与来自刚果（金）、乌干达、博茨瓦纳、赞比亚和埃塞俄比亚的同事建立了深厚的友谊，加强了国际合作和文化交流。

The China tour was enjoyable, educational, and inspiring. It deepened my understanding of China Railway Seventh Group and enhanced my professional growth. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the company’s leadership for organizing and supporting this initiative, which allowed me to learn, grow, and proudly represent Namibia.
